What will happen with WePay? Is PayPal something “extra” in addition to WePay?
PayPal will be replacing WePay. Your payments moving forward will be processed and managed through PayPal.
Do my clients need a PayPal account to pay me?
No, your clients will be able to checkout without having their own PayPal account.
Will I be able to control payments as I did before?
Yes, you will still be able to control whether to show online payments to your clients by switching the payment toggles ON/OFF for every document.
Will the fees be the same?
Yes, processing fees will remain at 2.9% & $0.30 per transaction. Please note that in the event of a refund, initial transaction fees will still be charged as per the standard credit card processing policy.
Will I still automatically receive money directly into my bank account or will I have to go to the PayPal dashboard every time to transfer funds?
Once you activate Automatic Withdrawal from your PayPal account, you will receive automated daily payouts directly to your bank account without the need to go to the PayPal dashboard.
What happens with my outstanding invoices?
All your unpaid invoices that are enabled for online payments will be processed through PayPal even if they were sent prior to switching to PayPal.
